The Daves do Thunderhill - Spring Sprint '10

Bunch of Crazy Guys back on track!

The Two Daves were at Thunderhill for Spring Sprint with the Shelby Club.  Both were shaking down new equipment: Dave R installed a bunch of chassis stiffening goodies, as well as a Watts Link.  Dave G was taking his new motor out for the first time: a Fire Breathing Boss 347 that not only packs a bunch of power, but won't upset the balance of his nimble Beast!

Just look at the view as we headed out to the track around 7:00 am - snow covered mountains in front, a beautiful sunrise behind and a cool track just waiting to be warmed up...

Good Morning!!
Another glorious morning
Heading to Thunderhill on Saturday morning ('morning bugs!)...

Up Next - Sears Point

We will be at SAAC 35 August 27-29 at Sears Point Raceway (Infineon Raceway for those of you who don't know any better) and, for the first time in a couple years, we will have all 3 cars out of the stable.  Should be a real blast.  Be sure to stop by and say Hi and while you're here, stop by and say Hi to our good friend Shaun of
StreetOrTrack.com.

We'll have more information as this event gets closer (
SAAC35 Website).

Check in first!

Welcome to the home of BCG Racing. First, let's get one thing clear: we're not really racers, just a bunch of crazy guys (and gals) out having the time of our lives in our cars on the track.

Speaking for myself, I had always considered myself to be a good driver and thought I'd make a good racer. Turns out that driving a car at speed on a race track is VERY different than driving fast on the street. Once you've driven on a track - the urge to see what you can do on the street simply fades away. It's not that your love of driving is diminished, it's just that there is no way you can use the street the way you use a track (unless you are a complete moron and have absolutely no respect for your life or the lives of others).

The driving is only one aspect of BCG Racing, however. Don't get me wrong: the driving is an absolute blast, it's just that by not being in a competitive environment, you can relax a little and realize that the folks you are hanging out with are great people and are a huge part of why you are having such a good time!

So, come on out and join us at one of our track events. Who knows: you could be the next crazy guy (or gal)!

A Huge Thank You!

We at BCG Racing would like to express our deepest gratitude to the folks at the Northern California Shelby Club.  Without this group of dedicated, talented folks, we would never have found out what a truly remarkable sport this can be.  Nor would we ever have the chance to see so many fine automobiles out on the track, doing what they were meant to do.  The emphasis is on safety, having fun and enjoying the company of some truly stellar people.

Our hats are off to everyone who makes the Shelby Club one of the finest organizations out there (there are too many to list, but you know who you are!).
